About Weekly Long Run

The Weekly Long Run is a regular Sunday morning gathering of runners from across Telangana. Organized at scenic and accessible routes in each district, this initiative fosters community bonding while promoting long-distance running as a lifestyle.

This is a voluntary, non-commercial event — supported by the spirit and commitment of our local chapter members who help with hydration, guidance, and route planning, based on their availability.

Purpose & Benefits
  • Weekly Long Runs are more than just mileage—they’re a cornerstone for serious and social runners alike. Here’s how they help:
  • Networking Across Districts: Meet and connect with runners from your local chapter and beyond. Share training tips, stories, and motivation.
  • Preparation for Upcoming Events: Build your endurance and confidence for races like Telangana Run, Hyderabad Marathon, and more.
  • Improve Pace and Technique: Running in a group pushes you to stay consistent, adopt better techniques, and gradually improve your timing.
    Mental & Physical
  • Wellbeing: The discipline of long runs and the camaraderie they bring helps with stress relief, self-discipline, and physical health.
  • Stay Accountable: The community gives you a reason to show up and challenge yourself every Sunday.
How It Works

– Each district’s local chapter announces the meeting point, distance, and route in advance via their communication channels.
– Participants are encouraged to carry their own hydration, but chapters may provide water stops as feasible.
– Runners of all paces and experience levels are welcome — we start together, and regroup after the run.
