Telangana Runners brought something truly unique to the running calendar — a run inside the premises of the iconic Yadagirigutta Temple, under the blessings of Lord Narasimha Swamy.
Around 1000 runners participated across 5km, 10km, and half marathon distances. But what made this run different was how people showed up. Most runners didn't just come to race. They came a day early, travelled from Hyderabad and across Telangana, visited the temple with their families, and took blessings before the run. It felt less like a race registration and more like a pilgrimage with running shoes.
The route itself was memorable. Starting from the flower gardens, the first kilometre was a downhill stretch — fast, open, and exciting. The last kilometre brought everyone back uphill on the temple road, legs burning, but the finish line waiting at the top. In between, the roads were filled with runners, local school kids, college students, and families cheering from the sides.
For many, this wasn't just about fitness. It was about starting the run with a prayer and finishing it with gratitude. Family trips, temple visits, and a race bib — all in one weekend.
Yadagirigutta Temple Run 2026 was a reminder that running doesn't always have to be just about timing and distance. Sometimes it's about where you run, and what you carry in your heart when you do.
